About Me

Farah Nabilah (b.1999, Singapore) is currently a final year student at McNally School of Fine Arts at LASALLE College of the Arts and will be completing her diploma in Fine Arts. There she gained a lot of new skills and techniques as she was exposed to more mediums such as ink, wood and metal.

Her works are mainly inspired and formed with the ideas of personal reflections and thoughts towards the things she observes. She often observers the scenes and events in her daily life which inspires her to create her work. Started creating small craft works since she was young this led her to pursue formal art training in the future

Nabilah enjoys craft works as it allows her to showcase her ideas into a 3 dimensional visual form. She experimented with materials such as wood and clay and working with various mediums that can be changed into different forms. Most of her works is created by working on small parts before combining them into one. Putting the small works together, she likes the idea of compiling parts to form a bigger artwork, to let the various pieces each have their own part in completing an artwork.

Creating sculptures with mixed media lets me showcase the various textures and mediums in my own way. Working with the different mediums and objects allows me to express my words and thoughts into an art form. I am able to work with a range of materials and like exploring with different materials to create a 3 dimensional (3D) artwork. Starting by compiling my thoughts and words first to make sense of what I am to produce. I make sculptures by forming and working with smaller pieces and then forming it into a big work.
